Why is the Spotify and Apple Music 'play' link missing from some release pages?

Why is the Spotify and Apple Music 'play' link missing from some release pages?

There are a couple of reasons for this. Firstly, it is possible the release is unfortunately on neither of those platforms. Secondly, we receive and analyse a number of different types of data and key identifiers, and to display Apple and Spotify 'play' links we need to match the identifiers from the labels to those from Apple and Spotify – sometimes these aren't provided.
