Common Works Registration (CWR)
Common Works Registration (CWR) is a standard format for the registration and revision of musical works. CWR provides a means for publishers and societies to send and receive essential information on a work or musical composition, including copyright ownership, contributing writers and composers and the ISWC (International Standard Musical Work Code).
The CWR format was created in a joint effort between performance rights societies and music publishers across the world. The current CWR standards are maintained by CISAC (the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers)
